Beachlife in Portugal

Portugal has more than 800km of incredible coastline, so if its beaches you are looking for a beach villa in Portugal would be the perfect place for you. There are some amazing coastal gems throughout Portugal, but the Algarve provides some of the best with its spectacular sea caves and cliff-backed golden beaches, many of which have been awarded Blue Flag status.

We have a great collection of villas close to the beach which make it that much easier to head to the sand.

What to eat in Portugal

Portugal’s incredible coastline means that fresh fish and seafood are served everywhere, but local specialities can vary depending on what region you visit. Across the country you’ll find Bacalhau which is Portugal’s signature salt cod dish, considered a national treasure. When in the Algarve, you must sample the traditional cataplana stew, traditionally cooked in a copper pan. Other regional favourites include Cataplana de Marisco which is basically a seafood extravaganza and Cataplana de Carne de Porco com Amêijoas which is a surf-and-turf mix of pork and clams. Desserts and sweet treats are a big part of the Portuguese culinary scene, but by far the most famous are the 'Pastel De Nata' Portuguese custard tarts, which you can find in most local bakeries.
Book a villa with a private pool and dine out on the traditional cuisine, or cook up a feast on the barbecue at your villa.
