Croatia travel guide

Croatia is a sightseer's dream, such are the endless picturesque coastlines, the stunning architecture of the towns next to the Adriatic Sea, and the more rural locations too. A villa holiday in Croatia gives you the opportunity to travel along the coastlines, discovering Venetian-influenced towns and their cobbled streets, the incredibly beautiful national parks or the beautiful beaches on the numerous islands.

Frequently asked questions about Croatia

How long does it take to fly to Croatia?

Croatia is between a two or three-hour flight from the UK, depending on which region you travel to. Pula is the closest airport for villas in Istria, although it is also possible to fly to Trieste in Italy or Ljubljana in Slovenia and drive down to your holiday villa in Croatia. Split and Dubrovnik airport are the closest for the Dalmatian Coast villas.

What currency do I need to take to Croatia?

The national currency is Croatian Kuna, but Euros are also accepted in certain restaurants.

What is the time difference between the UK and Croatia?

Croatia is just one hour ahead of the UK.

When is the best time to go to Croatia?

Between May and September, Croatia has a wonderfully warm climate, creating perfect conditions for relaxing in one of our villas with a private pool. Between June and August, temperatures soar to 30 C, so we recommend days out at the beach to bask in the warm sunshine before cooling off in the sea.

During April and October, the temperature is warmer than the UK and perhaps is the best time to view the many historical sites that Croatia has to offer. Sightseeing in Dubrovnik is less crowded outside of the summer months, and the National Parks look beautiful at any time of year.
