You don’t need to plan ahead to find something interesting to do in Paphos. Many of the main sights sit close to the harbour, so you can wander at your own pace, stop for a drink or head back to your villa whenever it suits you.
Boat trips leave regularly from the harbour, with sea caves, quiet bays and the secluded Blue Lagoon all within reach. On land, jeep safaris take you to places you wouldn’t usually find on your own, passing gorges, small villages and stretches of countryside along the way.

From your Paphos villa, explore a treasure trove of historical sites, including monasteries, a Hellenistic-Roman theatre, Paphos Castle and Forty Columns Fortress.
Visit Agia Solomoni Church located in Kato, a chapel that forms part of a small underground complex of chamber tombs from the Hellenistic period. Above the catacombs stands a sacred tree believed to have curative powers.
For a day trip by car, the Troodos Mountains rise inland and are known for their pine forests and winding village roads. Kykkos Monastery sits high in the range and, because of its elevation, feels noticeably cooler than the coast – perfect if you need to escape the midsummer heat for a while!
Paphos was made for family holidays. Beaches are long, calm and sandy, distances are short and days are easy to shape around your own rhythm. When energy levels are high, Aphrodite Waterpark is an absolute must. Younger children will adore Paphos Zoo, where they can come face to face with lemurs, giraffes, elephants and so many more incredible animals.
Just outside town, Coral Bay (a Blue Flag beach) is ranked one of the loveliest stretches of coast in the region, making it a natural choice for family beach days. For families who like to mix quieter days with a spot of adventure, Paphos offers plenty of options. Inland, the Troodos Mountains have a variety of walking trails around Mount Olympus, the highest point in Cyprus.
If you prefer your activities water-based, there are windsurfing, paddle boarding and parasailing opportunities dotted along the coast, while boat trips give everyone a chance to enjoy the sea without too much effort.
Back on land, quad biking and Segway tours are popular ways to explore together, offering just enough excitement without taking over the whole day.
