Pefkos is a great resort for couples to take a relaxing chillout villa holiday, the beaches are great for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. Once the sun goes down, there is a great selection of restaurants and bars to choose from. With a relaxed vibe it is easy to simply enjoy spending quality time together and chat over a traditional Greek candlelit meal and a bottle of wine. If you choose a villa with a private pool you can finish off your night with a moonlit midnight swim.
Pefkos has a Blue Flag awarded beach with uninterrupted stretches of soft golden sand curving around a sleepy bay, in front of a pine forest backdrop. At one end of the beach there are some small rocky coves that make fabulous swimming and snorkelling spots. The warm crystal clear waters make Pefkos an ideal location to relax and unwind for all ages and one of the most desired in Greece.
There are a few more livelier spots but it’s mainly local Tavernas where you can sip cocktails and chat over an ice cold beer or two. If you are looking for something with more of a vibrant atmosphere head a short distance down the coast to the nearby town of Lindos.
Pefkos is just an hour’s drive from the capital, Rhodes Town, where you will find the UNESCO stamped heritage hotspot. Behind the Medieval walls the must see sights include the Street of the Knights, the impressive fortress and the Palace of the Grand Master. The narrow, cobbled streets also lead to designer boutiques, traditional craft shops and trendy bars. All of this can easily be explored from yourfamily villa.
Pefkos is a truly family friendly resort, the restaurants are genuinely welcoming to families and children of all ages. Spend the day on the beach building sand castles or perhaps take a few day trips and explore the island in full. There are plenty of options to suit the whole family if you book a villa in Pefkos, especially if you love the great outdoors. Hop on a glass bottom boat and sail around the bay to Lindos beach where you can take a walk or a donkey ride up to the towering Acropolis on the hill. Lardons beach and St. Pauls Bay are also well worth visiting with fun activities for all the family to enjoy.
The clear blue waters around Pefkos are so inviting, you might just spend the day sunbathing and dipping in and out of the warm water. For those looking for a bit more activity there is also kitesurfing and windsurfing to keep you busy.
