It’s easy to reach every beach of this resort, all of which are clean and safe. You will find EU Blue Flag awarded beaches nearby to explore or to just relax on. Most of the bays are pebbly but there are plenty to discover and they can be charmingly small and secluded. It’s also easy to walk to longer beaches and bays near Kassiopi, like Avlaki, Imerolia and Kalamionas. Head to one of these on a day out from your private beachfront villa, where you are really spoilt for choice.
With traditional narrow streets, overlooked by the ruins of an ancient castle, this once quiet fishing village has been transformed into a popular holiday destination, perfect for your Greek villa escape.
There’s plenty of history in Kassiopi, with the remains of a Byzantine castle perched up on the hillside, and around the headland, built to protect the town and its port. You can walk among the ruins, the top ramparts offer an excellent view of the Albanian coastline. The church of Panagia Kassiopitra is also well worth a visit, it’s believed to have been built on the site of an ancient temple dedicated to Zeus Kassius. Your holiday villa in Kassiopi is only about an hours drive from Corfu’s main town, where you can find the 16th Century old town with its maze of narrow cobbled streets leading to churches, archaeology museums and an old fortress.
The family friendly beaches at Kassiopi are suitable for children, particularly the main beach which has water sport facilities for all ages and a small public playground close by.
Alternative family attractions include The Solomos Museum, Palace of St. Michael and St. George and the Port of Corfu, all within easy reach of your family villa. Leave some time for exploring the Museum of Ceramic Art and Museum of Asian Art, before heading back to relax and cool off in your villa’s private pool.
During the warm days you can go off and explore the traditional harbour, overlooked by a Byzantine fortress. Diving is popular here along with various different water sports, or perhaps hire a boat for the day and make your own adventure at sea. There are plenty of land activities to enjoy as well, take a buggy adventure, jeep safari or quad bike tour and explore to your heart’s content.
