Villas in Puglia

Puglia (or Apulia) is the sun-baked boot heel of Italy, a tapestry of white-washed hilltop towns, citrus and olive groves, rugged farmland and sparkling Mediterranean coastline. The southernmost tip of Italy, Puglia benefits from scorching hot summers and mild winters, making any time of year a great time to book a Puglia villa. Life here is all about unwinding and indulging, and our villas in Puglia are found throughout the region in its most beautiful and renowned spots.

Puglia travel guide

Puglia is the perfect place to enjoy an Italian couple's villa holiday, and couples visiting the region will be bowled over by the sheer romance and beauty of the region. For starters, there are the mesmerising old towns of Bari, Ostuni, Monopoli and Lecce, with their churches, cobbled streets, piazzas and Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Spend a day wandering their mazes of streets before sitting down for a candle-lit dinner, with the best restaurants in Puglia being on the seafront or hidden in piazzas in the old town – make sure to try the orecchiette washed down with Negroamaro. Rent a boat and jet out to the Tremiti Islands, spend the day wine tasting in one of the many vineyards, take a traditional cookery class and hike the wildly romantic Sentiero Vecchio del Ciolo in Salento. Come at sunset and it may even lead to a proposal.
