If you’re looking for a vibrant Turkey villa holiday, then Hisaronu could be the destination for you. Once a sleepy fishing village, Hisaronu has transformed into a lively resort with vibrant nightlife, birthed by local restrictions in nearby Olu Deniz which saw developers build hotels, bars and restaurants further down the coast. This development became modern-day Hisaronu. A Hisaronu villa suits travellers looking for days lounging in the sun and bumming on beaches, and nights spent soaking up the atmosphere in local bars and clubs. While it’s known as a party town, a villa holiday Hisaronu appeals to all types of travellers, from families and multi-gen groups through to couples and retired groups of friends, with beaches just a short drive or bus ride away.
Things to do in Hisaronu
From our villas in Hisaronu, it’s just a short drive or bus ride to the powder-soft beaches of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, with beautiful and protected Olu Deniz and the Blue Lagoon just two miles away. Hisaronu is also located near the ancient sites and attractions of Fethiye, including the 2,500-year-old Lycian rock ruins.
The town itself is famed for its nightlife and restaurants, and popular eateries include the Dragonaro Chinese restaurant, the Olive Tree and the Bees Knees. For lively bars, head to Hisaronu’s main street where you’ll find tiki venues, traditional pubs, nightclubs and trendy cocktail bars.
Shopping is also fantastic in the town, and there are lots of souvenir, clothing and nick nack shops on the main shopping street. Make sure to leave your Hisaronu villa and head into town on a Monday for the weekly market, which sells everything from clothing and towels to spices and tasty treats.
History and culture in Hisaronu
The resort of Hisaronu is fairly modern, packed with shops, hotels, restaurants and bars rather than ancient sites and museums, but that’s not to say there aren’t fantastic historical and cultural sites in the local area. From your villa with private pool in Hisaronu, you’re able to explore further afield, visiting the plethora of ancient sites in Fethiye like the Lycian rock-cut Tomb of Amyntas, the Roman Theatre and the Fethiye Museum. The museum is home to the priceless Trilingual Stele, a piece of stone inscribed with Lycian, ancient Greek, and Aramaic which led archaeologists cracking the ancient Lycian language. In Hisaronu, you can soak up Turkish culture in the local market or visit a Turkish bath.
Family holidays in Hisaronu
Chilled-out by day and lively by night, Hisaronu is the perfect villa destination for families with small children, with amazing amenities nearby and plenty for little ones to occupy themselves with. The long pebble beach backs onto restaurants and bars and has an inner lagoon with calm waters and sandy spots, perfect for children. In the lagoon it’s also possible to hire pedalos and snorkel, making for a fantastic family day out.
For an aquatic experience closer to the town, there’s always a villa in Hisaronu with a private pool. Our family villas in Hisaronu are also near all the town’s main attractions, like the Luna Amusement Park and the exciting WaterWorld Waterpark with its ice cream café.
Adventurous activities in Hisaronu

From your Hisaronu villa, it’s an easy trip to the world-famous resort village of Olu Deniz where adventure seekers flock to paraglide off the nearby Babadag mountain and visit the diving centre, which offers daily trips and courses to explore underwater caves and tunnels teaming with moray eels, octopus, tuna, barracuda and lobster.
A plethora of fantastic tour companies operate in the area, offering trips such as Jeep safaris, boat trips and paddle boarding sessions. Those after exploration can also enjoy a trek from their Hisaronu villa to the Greek ghost village of Kayakoy, now a haunting memorial to the Greco-Turkish War.
