For a romantic trip out head to Milos beach in Aghios Nikitas which is perfect for whiling away the hours in the Greek sunshine. This beach can be a little difficult to reach but is worth the effort when you get there, due to its remote location it is very peaceful, perfect for a romantic retreat away from the crowds.
Lefkas is home to idyllic beaches framed by dramatic green hills and the sparkling Ionian. One of the most popular beaches in Lefkas is Kathisma. Being so popular due to its crystal clear waters, it can get busy but it has all you need for a stress-free day with a selection of beach bars, cafes and shops along the beachfront.

You can see traditional dances, music and songs from around the world. It is held in the Open Theatre of Lefkas, as well as on the streets and in squares in villages all over Lefkas. Why not hire a car and explore everything that this beautiful part of Greece has to offer. Head north along the Greek Mainland to the town of Parga to discover the history of this region. Parga Castle and Ali Pasa’s Castle stand face to face on opposite sides of the port. These medieval fortresses tower over the water and provide an excellent view if you choose to hike up to the top.
Lefkas is ideal for a family villa holiday, although this part of Greece is better known for being a relaxing location, you will still find great resorts for the family to enjoy, with some fantastic windsurfing and swimming locations. For those who love the great outdoors, Lefkas is a perfect choice for walkers. Its countryside, mountains, olive groves, forests and orchards sweep along the coast, and they are laced with walking tracks that take visitors to picture-postcard photo stops.
Although short, one of the must do hikes is to the fantastic Nidri waterfalls, where you can be rewarded with a swim amongst beautiful scenery.
For those seeking adventurous activities head to the town of Vasiliki in the south of Lefkas, which is known as the undisputed ‘Windsurf Capital of Europe’.
