The Canary Isles: Where to go for Winter sun
A perfect escape from the British winter, the Canary Islands are Spain's most southern region. Situated off the East coast of Africa and geographically closer to Morocco than Europe, the weather in the wintery Canary Islands can often be warmer than a UK summer. With eight main islands to choose from and a number of smaller uninhabited islands scattered throughout the archipelago, it can be hard to know which island is best suited for some winter sun.

Tenerife - guaranteed Winter sun
The biggest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife, would be our recommendation for those who want something different every hour of the day. With an almost endless list of things to do, visit, and see, Tenerife is a treasure trove of delights.

Fuerteventura - Beachgoers paradise
Famous for its beaches, Fuerteventura is technically the oldest of the Canary Islands, but don't let its age deceive you; it's also one of the most beautiful. One of the perks of being on an island like this is the constant proximity to the beach and the sea, making it the ideal destination for anyone interested in catching a few rays or trying their hand at watersports.
